Ask about needs before preferences
Step-free routes, wheelchair positions, hearing assistance and sensitivity to heights can decide the appropriate seats. Confirm arrangements with the venue or booking support before paying. A seating plan alone may not show the full route from the street to the seat.
Read the restriction attached to the exact seat
Some tickets have view restrictions or other conditions. Inspect the description attached to your chosen seats, not just the color on the map. A lower headline price does not tell you whether the view suits the recipient’s expectations.
Keep the group in one booking
Select all required tickets together and inspect the final seats before payment. Do not book one ticket expecting an adjacent place to remain available. If the checkout offers a category rather than an exact seat, read how the seats are allocated.
A voucher can leave the preference to them
For an experienced theatergoer with strong seating preferences, letting them choose can be more thoughtful than guessing. A voucher still depends on available stock when redeemed, but it keeps the seat decision with the person attending.
Orchestra, mezzanine and balcony are not a universal ranking
Broadway seating labels describe parts of a particular theater; they do not guarantee the same view, legroom or access at every venue. Compare the actual plan for the chosen performance, the seat or category notes and the recipient’s preferences. A central location on a plan can still have restrictions, and a high section may not suit someone uncomfortable with heights. Do not recommend a row or section based only on another theater’s layout.
Ask before buying access-dependent seats as a surprise
If step-free access, wheelchair accommodation, hearing support or a particular seat location matters, resolve it with the venue or booking support before payment. This site does not provide verified accessibility plans for every theater. A gift card can leave the choice with the attendee, but it does not itself secure an access arrangement. Once the requirements are confirmed, check the whole party’s seating together rather than buying an isolated seat and hoping to add a companion later.
